The Memo Zorro 4Bike may be rated to a maximum combined load of 150kg, but the installation must remain within the motorhome's permitted chassis, rear-axle, payload and chassis-extension limits. The total weight of the carrier, bicycles and accessories must be assessed before installation.

Match the carrier to your bike weight

We compare the combined bicycle weight, carrier weight, loading height and vehicle limits before recommending the right system.

Motorhome towbar installation

The Towbar Must Be Matched to the Complete Motorhome

A coachbuilt motorhome is different from the base vehicle on which it was originally manufactured. The rear overhang, body structure and chassis-extension arrangement can materially affect what can be fitted and how it must be supported.

1
Base vehicle and conversion identified Make, model, registration, chassis type and body conversion are confirmed.
2
Chassis extensions inspected Existing extensions are checked to determine whether they are suitable or whether additional components are required.
3
Weights and rear-axle impact considered Towbar, carrier, bicycles and rear overhang can all affect the available payload and axle loading.
4
Electrical integration specified The appropriate lighting socket, wiring kit and any required vehicle integration are included in the recommendation.
Why a compatibility check matters

Every Motorhome and Campervan Must Be Assessed Individually

The advertised capacity of a towbar or carrier does not override the permitted limits of the vehicle, its chassis, rear axle or existing extensions.

01 / CHASSIS

Chassis Construction

AL-KO, original manufacturer and aftermarket extension arrangements require different fitting solutions.

02 / PAYLOAD

Available Payload

The weight of the installation, carrier and bicycles must remain within the vehicle’s legal operating limits.

03 / AXLE

Rear-Axle Loading

Weight positioned behind the rear axle creates additional leverage and can affect rear-axle loading significantly.

04 / USE

How You Intend to Use It

Towing, carrying standard bikes, transporting e-bikes and retaining rear-door access may require different systems.
